Es Vedra
Es Vedra, the powerful rock in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Spain.

Introduction

From the research the Anatomy of  Dwelling develops the idea to realize ‘Health Centers’, places to go to and improve our physical and spiritual health. One can go to a powerful place in the nature, where you can recharge your battery and reestablish a harmony with the cosmic and earth energies.

Hammack
Living in a hammock surrounded by nature.
In the nature one can find simple ways of living, like living/ hanging in a hammock being surrounded by the most beautiful nature. With a laptop and cellular phone, who's to know you escaped the office. There are ways to escape the life we're accustomed to and still function in the world out there. Change of life style refreshes our senses, so does being confronted by nature and being part of it. With fresh drinking water and fish from the sea one can survive. So why the hectic life when this is still possible?
Cave
Building in and with the nature.
Imagine this cave: The reason of the cave being there is the soft layer of earth, a mixture of sand and clay, that forms the bottom of the cave as it erodes through wind and water. In this paradise the bamboo grows over a well and with the earth mixture the bamboo frame set under the rocks can be made into a solid wall, the beginning of a house. Just to illustrate how the nature and the earth may give us everything we need. So the mind can take a rest.
But one has to live ones daily life back home, in the city, and live with the refreshing thoughts of the holiday. One can put some pictures on the walls and be reminded of the healthy outdoor experiences, but one can also bring stones back home all with beautiful memories attached. But not just that, the rocks have a kind of energy they carry and their presence can have some effect on us. The same way as we were playing in the cave we can take the earth with beautiful colors back home and now plaster it on the apartment walls. This is the way to find out what earth pigments are about and how to bring the nature back into your home. This is how you can make your home a special place, your place on earth.

During his visit to Sada Shiva Dham in Loenen the sadhu Shri Maha Mandaleshwar used the building as an example to deliver his spiritual message in a simple way. Through his interpreter he spoke of how the people maintained the building with much love. And, he said, this is how you must take care of your own body. Like the building is a house of god and by maintaining it you serve god, this is how you must take care of your own self in order to serve god.
